Minchinhampton Rangers is a friendly and competitive local youth football club.
Our aim is to develop our players not only in their technical ability, but also in teamwork, discipline, leadership, respect and many other skills that will help them throughout their life.
We are an FA Charter Standard Community Club, which means we adhere to the highest standards defined by the FA. This includes having FA Level 1 trained coaches for every team, plus a number of DBS-checked assistant coaches and a small army of parent helpers to ensure we provide the best environment for playing football that we can.
Minchinhampton Rangers Youth FC currently has over 300 registered players across a wide range of age groups, from children who have started in reception year at school, all the way through to those whose next step will be adult football. Back in 2019 we created a separate Girls squad, to accommodate those girls that would prefer to play this format rather than in mixed teams, and this is an area we hope to significantly grow over the coming seasons.
We are affiliated to the Gloucestershire Football Association, and our teams play in the Cotswold Youth League, the Gloucestershire County Girls League, the Severn Valley Youth Football League and the Cheltenham Youth League, providing a level of competitiveness appropriate for the players in each age group.
We have secured the use of pitches at Stuart Playing Field, Minchinhampton School, Stratford Court, Marling School, Nympsfield, Uplands, Brimscombe, Woodchester, King George V playing field in Nailsworth and at the Polo Ground on the Cirencester Road just outside of Minchinhampton, giving us capacity for two teams in most age groups.
